Layout suggestion[edit]

I have been working on tables of launches by year over at Wikipedia. Might it be a good idea to format the tables on this page in the same way, so content from the Wikipedia articles can be easily imported. --GW_SimulationsTalk | Contribs | E-mail 12:22, 17 June 2006 (MSD)

Sounds like a good idea to me, i just started the tables for having such content here. For the year articles, i thought about having a quick overview about all spaceflight related events and link to them, for having some source of inspiration for addon developers. --Urwumpe 13:35, 17 June 2006 (MSD)
Just noticed that wikipedia uses templates for formatting the tables, doesn't that mean that we can have any format as long as the order of the parameters stays the same? --Urwumpe 13:38, 17 June 2006 (MSD)
I wrote the code to run those templates. I'll upload it here. --GW_SimulationsTalk | Contribs | E-mail 19:12, 24 June 2006 (MSD)

Should this article be here?[edit]

I wonder whether this article belongs to this Wiki. It's not directly relevant to Orbiter, and it's very easily available on Wikipedia (use the w: prefix to link to Wikipedia articles). Synchronizing this with Wikipedia version must be tricky, and besides, the table is all red with non-existent links. I suggest deleting this and replacing links to it with links to Wikipedia article. --RaMan 21:35, 31 July 2006 (MSD)

Well, i wanted to start by taking the wikipedia information and allow adding extra content, like launch azimuths and launch times. i think you are right, such information does not automatically belong here, when its also in a better form in wikipedia. Maybe we could put information about standard launch azimuths into the articles of the spaceports. This way scenario developers could extract the needed data from wikipedia and supplement it with information we have here.--Urwumpe 21:53, 31 July 2006 (MSD)
