1437 Diomedes (1931 DN, 1936 PQ, 1937 PB, 1971 RD) is a large Jupiter Trojan asteroid of the Greek camp (whose orbits lie in the L4 point 60° ahead of Jupiter. It was discovered by Karl Reinmuth at the Heidelberg-Königstuhl State Observatory in August 1937 and was named after Diomedes a hero in Homer's Iliad.
