COM/NAV MFD setup mode allows the pilot to tune the receiver stack to various radio frequencies to receive transmissions from transponders on board vessels and from ground stations such as bases, airports, VOR transmitters, and LPad transmitters.

COM/NAV consists of four receivers and one transmitter. Each can be tuned to any frequency from 85 kHz to 140 MHz in increments of 0.05 MHz, allowing for 1101 channels. The XPDR transmitter frequency is manually selected by the user while receiver frequencies may be selected manually or each may scan for signals, stopping when a signal is detected.
