"Centro de Lançamento de Alcântara (CLA)"Alcantara Launch Center

The CLA is Brazil’s spaceport. Located near the equator, it has excellent conditions for rocket launches.

Pads and runways

  • The VLS pad with the associated Mobile Integration Tower ("TMI – torre móvel de integração") and rocket stand, used for the VLS and VLM rockets.
  • The universal pad complete with the launch tower is used for sounding rockets such as the VS-40.
  • Military runway known as "Aerodromo de Alcantara".
