On vacation

I am without Internet access for the next two to three weeks, until ADSL is available in my new flat, can you have a closer look at the Wiki until I am back? --Urwumpe 17:48, 4 December 2011 (UTC)

Home page Precis

Thanks for the heads up, I did notice that after some frustration, so Ill have to create a few precis pages when I get the chance. Im a little wet behind the ears at wikis, but I learn quick and things seem to be going fairly well. If I could bother you to take a moment, would you mind going over to this page on the Orbiter Forums and read through the last post? I dont mean to offend you in any way, but I do have a bit of a modest sized bucket list of small changes here & there to improve on the Orbiterwiki.

Good to see someone else is still here!

November 04/12-update

Hello, just thought I would let you know I am going to work on the main page update, but time has become rather constrained for me at the moment. I will continue to work on it however.

On a slightly different tack, I did get an idea when checking the recent edits page today. I imagine the spambots will never stop coming, and resistance is probably futile, but maybe if we included a clause in the account creation process that usernames cant contain numbers? Almost all of the spambots seem to follow a format "Name##". It might not be of any use, but if there really is noone at home behind most of the spambots, maybe that could weed out a tremendous number of them?

Greetings

Hi I just visited the Orbit Space Flight Simulator website and liked it very much. I would like to contribute to the Orbit simulator project if possible. I am a graduate student with Mechanical Engineering background and have experience in coding. Please let me know if you are interested. Cheers. PS: my email id - chandrasekhar971@gmail.com

Rocket Science for Amateurs needs more file types

You might have noticed I've set up several OrbiterWiki pages under the umbrella of Rocket Science for Amateurs (http://www.orbiterwiki.org/wiki/Rocket_Science_For_Amateurs), including a new edition of Go Play In Space and the IMFD Full Manual. In the past two weeks, Bruce Irving has updated several pages of his Go Play In Space, which was one of my hopes when I set up RSFA.

Th utility of including these large documents on OrbiterWiki would be greater if it were possible to upload their associated scenario and playback files; currently only image files are permitted. I understand from Orbiter Forum's administrator Orb that you are a likely person to be able to make a change like this on OrbiterWiki.

Can you help me, or direct me to someone who can? I can provide a list of the file types needed, and their size ranges.
