| + | I like the idea about banning numbers in usernames, it might cut the spam significantly. And if someone really wants such a user name, they could always ask. I'll see what I can do; getting MediaWiki to do stuff like that can be surprisingly difficult. I have more ideas up my sleeve, for example disallowing posts with external links by users with fewer than X edits. Random addon list[edit]
Hi! I notice you had a difficulty adding an addon to the list of random addons. One of your edits was pretty much spot on, the only problem was that the "precis" page was missing. All you need to do is add this page.
If you look at Ariane_5, for example, you'll see that it specifies the {{HasPrecis}} template near the end of the page. This will add some text to your page, including something like "The precis can be found at ..." and a link. Follow that link, and create a summary for the add-on. Main page and spam[edit]
Hi, no worries about the main page, take your time.
I like the idea about banning numbers in usernames, it might cut the spam significantly. And if someone really wants such a user name, they could always ask. I'll see what I can do; getting MediaWiki to do stuff like that can be surprisingly difficult. I have more ideas up my sleeve, for example disallowing posts with external links by users with fewer than X edits. I'll get on to that eventually... --RaMan (talk) 20:14, 6 November 2012 (UTC)
