OGLAClient is an OpenGL Orbiter Visualization Project Graphic client

Status

Mostly stalled due to GDI issues, with only minor updates and bringing in default Orbiter renderer features

Currently working on:

  • Solution to GDI issues.
  • Real rings rendering
  • Animation support
  • Cleaning up shadows and reflections
  • Memory and LOD fine-tuning

Currently thinking on:

  • Solution to GDI issues.
  • Shaders and their usage limits
  • Getting the rings real-looking
  • Panels and dynamic textures
  • Multilight config framework
  • More natural reflections

What is done:

  • Quite a lot
  • Navigable universe
  • Vessel mesh rendering sans animations
  • Planet rendering Lv 0-11
  • Surface base rendering and culling
  • Planetary meshes, mostly complete
  • Basic rings
  • Beyound Orbiter - stars
