This is a rough translation of the article titled "Information display system of the spacecraft "Buran"" by Tiapchenko. [1]

Introduction

Information display system - this is a collection of means and methods of ensuring the activities of operators in the management and maintenance of complex objects. Unlike the other radioelectronic equipment (REA), the IDS has two different interfaces: Instrumentation (PI) and ergonomic interface(EI). PI - This is the hardware and software part of the IDS, designed to interface display tools (CO) and controls (OC) with subsystems and spacecraft structures. EI - these are the tools and methods for interfacing between man and machine (spacecraft).

The technical level of PI depends on the technical level of electronic and computer technology (EWT), electrical engineering and methods of data exchange with spacecraft systems. In this aspect, the IDS does not differ from the REA of general-purpose control systems (CS), and therefore there are no limitations for microminiaturization of it - there are no limitations in weight and dimensions.
