'''D3D9Client Project''' is a graphics client upgrade from the DX7 client supplied with the standard [[Orbiter|Orbiter Spaceflight Simulator]] created by jarmonik. Discussion can be accessed at [https://www.orbiter-forum.com/threads/d3d9client-development.16787/ this thread] at Orbiter-forum, and also at [https://www.tuttovola.org/index.php?action=downloads;cat=64 at tuttovola.org].

According to the kymp site and the forum thread:

*DirectX redistributable package is required to run D3D9, accessible from [https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109 Microsoft], if your computer does not already have it. Download and unpack to any desired empty directory, then run the Setup.exe that comes with the package. After running the .exe file, the folder and contents may be deleted entirely as desired.

*Several packages are available, 3 for Orbiter 2010-P1, 5 for Orbiter 2016, and 5 for Orbiter Beta.

*Download and unpack to the Orbiter root folder

*Launch Orbiter from '''Orbiter_ng.exe''' rather than '''Orbiter.exe'''

*From the launchpad, select the '''Modules''' tab and activate the D3D9 client

*Select the '''Video''' tab, select the Advanced''' button

*'''Surface texture load options''', it is recommended to select the '''Load on demand''' item

*On the lower left of the dialog box, select the '''Create symbolic links''' button
