You can use it to aerobrake, aerocapture, skip reentry, ballistic reentry, etc...

Aerobrake is a MFD for Orbiter that can calculate the flight path of a space ship inside a planet's atmosphere. It can be used for aerobraking/aerocapture maneuvers, skip reentry, ballistic reentry and many other complex aerodynamic maneuvers.
+
The glide path is integrated keeping account of lift and drag.  Outside of a planet's atmosphere this data isn't available, so it's approximated from old functions on the frontal surface.

Aerobrake MFD was started by Jarmo Nikkanen as an integrated part of Interplanetary MFD. Jarmonik detached it from the larger MFD and release the source code to the community for further use. Gregorio Piccoli took on the role of compiling that code as an independent MFD.
+
The new version has an autopilot and two graphs: path and lift/drag.
